AutoCraft grew out of Auto Design NYC — the shop Stefano Loria started as a teenager in the Bronx in 1989 and built into one of Manhattan’s best-known custom shops.
Where It Started
From the Bronx to Manhattan
Stefano Loria founded Auto Design at just 17, working out of his family’s home in the Bronx on local installs. His audio, video and security work quickly built a following, and demand pushed the business into every corner of aftermarket automotive enhancement.
Wanting more, Stefano took on the big city and moved the shop to Manhattan, at 10th Avenue and 25th Street. Recognition came fast: countless awards and features in publications like Car Audio Magazine, DuPont Registry and Road Gear.
Through all of it, Stefano stayed hands-on with nearly every project — the same attention to detail that drives the AutoCraft team today.

1989
Auto Design Is Born
Stefano starts Auto Design out of his family’s home in the Bronx, focusing on audio, video and security installs for local clients.
Manhattan
Moving to the Big City
The shop relocates to 255 10th Avenue at 25th Street and grows into full aftermarket customization — interiors, exterior styling, performance, mobile offices and radar countermeasures.

The shop has worked with Discovery Channel, American Express and Bloomberg, and was sub-contracted to help build the cars for “Cash Cab” and “Taxicab Confessions.”
